Starbuck Designers was founded in 1987. Since that time it has become one of Nashville's most respected design studios offering residential and commercial design services in Tennessee and surrounding states.
President John D. Starbuck, Jr. is a Licensed Interior Designer in the state of Tennessee and an award-winning Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). With a B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Bachelor of Design degree from O'More College of Design, his experience includes work with fine residential interior design firms, architectural/design firms, commercial interior specialists, and hospitality and health care firms. Starbuck has won numerous local and national awards for his projects and floral designs. His career developed from a life-long love of interior and garden design and a deep appreciation for art, nature, and music.
Starbuck's writing has appeared in Nashville Arts Magazine and his projects have been featured on episodes of the cable show Interiors by Design on HGTV. He has spoken at The Art of Design (offered by ASID) and the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville. He has also contributed to the community through special projects and events for the Nashville Symphony, FiftyForward, Inc., the American Heart Association,O'More College of Design, American Society of Interior Designers, Middle Tennessee Hemerocallis Society, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, St. Cecilia Academy, and many other charities and groups.
Starbuck Designers works closely with clients to create functional, beautiful, and livable interiors that reflect their individual needs, lifestyles and budgets.
